Notary fee schedule

Posted rates, no surprises at the bedside.

Utah sets the maximum a notary may charge for each notarial act. We charge those rates and disclose any travel fee before the appointment is confirmed — never at the door.

By agreement

The travel fee is separate from the notarial fee, is explained and agreed to before we travel, and does not exceed the approved federal mileage rate. That rate is currently 76¢ per mile, effective July 1, 2026, and this page is updated when it changes.

Paralegal and case support work is billed separately by contract or hourly agreement, not on this schedule.

A notary may not choose the certificate for you, prepare or select your documents, or advise you on what a document means. Those questions belong to your attorney.

How a signing works

Three steps, and we take the middle one.

Send the request

Call or email with the client's location, the documents, and the window that works for them. We confirm the appointment and any travel fee in writing the same day.

We travel and verify

We coordinate with facility staff, verify identity as Utah law requires, confirm the signer is willing and aware, arrange witnesses if the document needs them, and complete the notarial acts.

You get the file back

Executed originals returned the way you ask — hand delivered, mailed, or scanned to your system — with journal entries recorded and the file updated.
